At Peligoni, our focus is to inspire our younger guests to be all they can be and make the most of their holiday. This applies to our youngest guests joining us in one of our crèches, to older kids taking part in high-energy activities and our teenage guests who want to break away from mum and dad and make new friends.
We are looking for an experienced and organised Childcare Coordinator to join the team for the remainder of the summer season. This is a unique opportunity to help thwart childcare operation run smoothly across all age groups. You will support the whole team with day-to-day logistics, staffing cover, communication, use of shared spaces and coordination between groups.
At Peligoni, our childcare department offer a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for children from 4 months to 17 years old. We operate across four distinct age groups:
Crèche – for babies and toddlers (4 months–3 years)
Rugrats – for young children (4–5 years)
With our partners, TARKA – for juniors (6–10 years)
Inbeteeners & Teens – for older children (11 years+)
In this role, you will play an important role in making sure the team works well together, that they have everything they need to deliver exceptional experiences to our younger guests and that the childcare experience felt joined up for children, parents and staff. This will including helping with childcare related administration, supporting movement between activities and spaces, ensuring the right staff cover is in place, and stepping in where needed to keep the day running smoothly.
During quieter parts of the season, you will work directly with the crèche team, supporting children aged 3 and under and working in ration as part of the team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is calm, practical, proactive and confident working across different age groups. You will need to be highly organised, good with people, and happy to be involved wherever support is needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the smooth day-to-day coordination of the childcare programme across all age groups, helping the different teams work well together and share spaces, equipment and resources effectively.
- Assist with childcare administration, including registration forms, registers, parent information, consent forms and other required paperwork.
- Review children’s information ahead of sessions and clearly flag any allergies, medical needs, dietary requirements or additional support needs to the relevant team members.
- Help ensure the right staffing cover is in place across the childcare areas each day, including supporting with rotas, breaks, changes to plans and movement of staff between age groups where needed.
- Liaise with other departments to make sure everything needed to support the childcare programme is in place.
- Support the set-up and smooth running of childcare activities, mealtimes, transitions, evening sessions and shared spaces.
- Act as a key point of communication between the childcare teams, helping ensure everyone is clear on the daily plan, timings, staffing needs and any important child-specific information.
- Work hands-on with children where needed, including supporting the crèche team during quieter periods and working in ratio with children aged 3 and under.
- Help maintain high standards of safety, safeguarding, hygiene and care across all childcare spaces.
- Escalate any parent feedback, operational issues, safeguarding concerns or staffing challenges to the appropriate manager promptly.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in childcare, children’s activities, holiday club or a resort setting
- Level 3 childcare qualification of equivalent is desirable, but not essential
- Experience supporting or coordinating teams, rotas, activities or daily operations.
- Confidence working with children across different age groups.
- Experience working with babies and children aged 3 and under.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare.
- Current DBS certificate, Garda Vetting or equivalent.
- Full Paediatric First Aid certificate.
- Confident swimmer.
- EU passport holder or existing right to work in Greece.
